  • Popis: Comedy sprinkled with drama, based on Polycarpos Chaïpas’ play (written in the Pontian dialect), with plenty of songs, it depicts the traditional ways and customs of the Greeks of Pontos. Lampon is a poor clerk who falls in love with a rich man’s beautiful only daughter, Persa, and wants to marry her. But her father doesn’t agree, because he wants his daughter to marry a wealthy man. The big-hearted, naive mother, on the other hand, is in favor of this union, because, as they say in Pontos, “The poor man is God’s creature too”.
